Since the last update I can not seem to use IrfanView 64 anymore as my default photo viewer. It has been taken from my list of apps, I am given a small selection including windows store. It seems Microsoft have blocked me from using IrfanView64 as my default. The Microsoft Windows 10 Photo App Is the worst Photo viewer I have ever used and I am not happy with the selection I have been given to choose from. Does someone have an answer to this?Windows Photo Viewer is actually included in Win 10, but hidden.Ultimate Windows Tweaker v4, by The Windows Club, is a tool that has a button which enables Windows Photo viewer in Win 10.You can find UWT4 here:is NOT a Microsoft product. It's a free Windows tool which uses Windows own functions. The UWT4 is a UI interface for windows own administrative tasks.Microsoft have a lot of system fixing functions for windows 10, but for some reason, they have not done a tool that people can use. In March 2019, version 2.0 was released and the name was changed from Basic Photo Viewer to Pictureflect Photo Viewer, since it was no longer so basic! The Pictureflect Photo Viewer logo is based on a photo of the Matterhorn taken from the Stellisee near Zermatt in Switzerland in 2014.
Unless you are an advanced user, DON'T do anything with this tool that you are not 100% sure what it will do.' -I don't agree with what you are saying, but I'll defend to the death, your right to say it'.
All I did was check my start menu.IrfanView64 was not there. I went to IrfanView location and pinned it to start. This then gave me the option to select it with 'Open with' and then checked the 'Always use'. That is all I did, so maybe the latest updatesremoved it from the start menu.I don't know.IrfanView still does NOT appear in settings under default apps, so maybe uninstalling it and reinstalling it may solve the problem completely, so, I will try that If I need to.I have uncovered Photo Viewer before, but after doing a clean install of windows I decided to try IrfanView 64 and I think I may stick to it. Great program! Thank you for your time sir.
